  • Go to ContactingCongress.org and enter your zip code to see your US senators and US House member
  • Click the (email icon) toward the far right next to each law maker to send each one a message.  Legislators will often not accept messages from from people in zipcodes outside of their districts or states, so focus on your US House members and senators.
  • The Fix Our Borders Now solution does not require any changes to US immigration law.  But ask your US House of Representatives member and your US Senators call and write letters to the Departments of Homeland Security, Defense, Justice, and State, expressing their support for this solution.

  • Call the DHS comment Line at 202-282-8495 and tell them to implement the Fix Our Borders Now solution to our immigration crisis.

Tell them about the Fix Our Borders Now solution and urge them to implement it without delay.  If you are writing to a US House member or senator, stress that you live in their district or state and you are not asking that Congress change our immigration laws, just that they actively support and advocate for these changes to the ways that the Trump administration enforces our current laws.

I recently came across what I believe is a very innovative and powerful plan that would solve our immigration crisis, and I request that you join me in actively supporting it.  Unlike many ideas that have been proposed, this plan would actually SOLVE THE PROBLEM, not just relieve its symptoms.  This plan is explained in detail at www.FixOurBordersNow.org.  And most importantly, it can be accomplished by President Trump's administration without any changes to our immigration laws.  We just need a fundamental change to how we enforce those current immigration laws.

The plan is based on the idea that we need to stop just playing defense (building the wall and asking for Mexico's help).  As important as those steps are, we must change strategy, go on offense, and stop the tidal wave of illegal aliens at its source. To do this, we must proactively eliminate the incentive for illegal economic migration to the United States: eliminate the perception that people can come to the US illegally and improve their economic condition. We must replace that perception with the certainty that coming here illegally will not be worth the cost of the trip! 

The key elements of this plan that I particularly like include:
-- Deporting illegal aliens from Central America back to Central America (not just back a short distance across the US Mexico border) Are caught coming into the US without requesting asylum.
-- Deporting illegal aliens who have overstayed their visas or escaped capture for an extended period of time, regardless of what their native countries are or under what programs they came to the US. We must ensure that our solutions to our illegal alien problems don’t unfairly discriminate against Latinos.
-- Sending Latin American asylum seekers back to await their asylum hearings in their home countries or the first country absent the conflict from which they are fleeing in Latin America. Having Latin American asylum seekers participate in their asylum hearings in their home countries or the first country in Latin America that is absent the conflict from which they are fleeing. Expanding teleconference facilities at US embassies and consulates, particularly in Latin America, so that asylum seekers who are physically located in those countries can have their cases heard by immigration courts that are physically located at teleconference facilities in the United States.
-- Vigorously attacking identity fraud by illegal aliens and asylum seekers who use fraudulent IDs to get jobs and other benefits. Cross-checking IDs used by illegal aliens in multiple government databases much more rigorously. Immediately deporting illegal aliens and asylum seekers who use fraudulent IDs to get jobs and other benefits.

This plan has been formally proposed to the Department Of Homeland Security (DHS) and Department of Justice (DOJ).  I strongly urge you to use whatever influence you have to encourage DHS, DOJ, and the other departments involved to implement it without delay.  If you have questions, please contact [email protected].  Again, we need to solve this crisis, not just relieve its symptoms.  We can do it if we all do our parts.
